Thomas A. Wilkinson
Age 82. Passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Illinois Veterans' Home in Quincy, IL. Born in Beloit, WI to the late Thomas G. and Marguerite (nee Schwab) Wilkinson. Residing in Morris since 1961. Received his Masters Degree at Northern Illinois University. A US Army Veteran, honorably discharged at the rank of First Lieutenant. A retired school teacher and magician known as "Mistini". Formerly employed by Morris Community High School and previously Beloit Memorial High School. Former Grundy County Board member. Member of First United Methodist Church of Morris, the Masonic Lodge of Morris and Commandry as well as the Dwight Rotary Club. Tom enjoyed collecting watches and other time pieces.
Survived by his loving wife, Mary Frances (nee Haenze) Wilkinson of Morris; brother in-law, Leroy (Cathy) Haenze of San Antonio, TX; several nieces and nephews; his cousins, Brian (Denise) Weeden of Janesville, WI.
Preceded by his parents; his sister, Mary Jean Wilkinson; and his in-laws, Reuel and Resa (Young) Haenze.
Thomas A. Wilkinson will lie in state Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 118 W. Jackson Street, Morris from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to First United Methodist Church, Morris or Illinois Veterans' Home of Quincy, IL would be appreciated. Visitation Monday, 4-8 p.m. at Fred C.
