Dear Family of my most cherished friend, Carol,
So sorry that I did not know of Carol's passing. I was worried because she was so good about keeping me in the loop about her condition.
She was the best in so many ways and this world will not be the same without her, but heaven will be ever so much sweeter because she is there.
Carol and I had many laughs when she came to work at the Catholic Explorer and we actually got some work done!
She spoke glowingly of her girls and her grands and yes, even of you, Bill!
My deepest sympathy to you all. She will watch out for each of you.
Mary
I always enjoyed Carol & Bills company. I will miss her gentle voice & her sense of humor & her lovely smiling face. She loved her family so much & her precious yorkie Nicholas. Happy birthday on Sunday Carol. You will be greatly missed by so many.
Nana, I will make sure that you are here with me everyday. Even on your own you are not alone. Sophie misses you terribly as well, and I hope you attend her graduation this May. I cherish all of the time we spent together, and even though we laughed every time you wanted to kiss us on the lips when we left the hospital, i'll always be glad I visited every time. You always were grateful to see me when you were sick, and I promise i'll visit you as often as I can now. I love you so much.
Oh my mom, how we miss you. Our hearts are just breaking. We all knew how much you wanted to stay but your poor little body just couldn't handle anymore pain. You certainly tried your best. We love you more than words can say.
It has been very rough for the Wilkalis family to hear about your passing. Personally I will never forget all of the great memories at your home, playing in your backyard with Laurie, Vicki and Sonny and always beating Uncle Bill at basketball in the front yard! And every time we left to go home, I would always say "Love That Auntie!" Thank you for being my Godmother and my Aunt and please say hello to Nana and Pa for me. I miss and love all of you.
Our prayers are with all of you. Carol Jean is at peace with the Lord. I have so many wonderful memories of her growing up., standing up to her wedding, being honored to be Vicki's Godmother, having Laurie as my flower girl to name a few of the big events. But more than that I remember her kindness and her sense of humor. The world is a lessor place because she is no longer with us but heaven is a happier place now that she is there with her parents and mine.
We are certain Nana and Pa were filled with joy and welcomed you with open arms! Rest with them in God's loving peace and care. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Bill, Laurie and Vicki...until God brings all our family all together again. Eternal rest grant on to Carol, O Lord, and may Your perpetual light shine upon her......
