Obituary of Dwight Franck

Dwight D. Franck Dwight David Franck, age 61, of Joliet, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born May 13, 1955 in Independence, Iowa, he was raised and attended school in Waterloo, Iowa. In 2001, he and his wife moved to Charleston, IL, and since 2004, have been residents of Joliet. Dwight was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1972-76. He worked as a Maintenance Manager for G. E. Railcar his entire career. He was previously a member of the Rolling Thunder which was a motorcycle club which benefited the needs of veterans. Surviving are his beloved wife of 33 years, Valerie J. (Hilyard) Franck of Joliet; two children, Corrie Lynn (Nicholas) Howard of North Aurora, and Nicholas Edward (Jeanne) Hall of Cedar Falls, IA; five grandchildren, Kaleb Hall, Leyna Howard, Aidan Hall, Brianna Kiegan and Bryant Kiegan; two sisters, Irene (Larry) Head and Rosalie (Robert) Burger; one brother, Richard (late Joanne) Franck; a sister-in-law, Janelle Franck; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond W. and Helen L. (Richards) Franck; and one brother, William Franck. Services and interment for Dwight Franck will be private.
