Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our dear and long time friend. STUNNED is the word that came to mind at her sudden passing. HEATBROKEN is the word that comes to mind at knowing she is no longer with us. Fond memories of our high school years. Fond memories of the 3 occasions shared with Marcie this past year. She was the picture of health and happiness with her vivacious and warm smile. May the family be comforted in having faith that Marcie is resting in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Marcie's family,
I am so grateful to KathyTierney for letting me know about Marcie. You must be shocked, stunned, and unfathomably sad. I know I am. What a wonderful woman Marcie was and the world is darker today. I thought the total eclipse was supposed to be Aug 21 but Sept 4 is eclipse day for everyone who knew Marcie.
Here's something you already know - Marcie was a delight. She and I worked together for years, with an awesome team of people supporting the Quaker Food businesses. She handled challenges large and small, from planning big division meetings (imagine a sleep over party for 150 people) to redoing the floor plan (again), and listening to everybody wail about it. How many times did we move offices? How many times was Marcie the person with the toughest job? If you want to hear people howl at the moon, change where they sit.
Her patience never failed, her smile never faded, and she never, ever let it be known that something got to her. She would tell her closest friends, of course, but always to laugh about it. I never heard her complain, ever. She never gave up on a problem, either, but would keep working it, ask other people to help, and find a solution.
As for her sudden departure, it's just like her to make a graceful exit. So hard for us - it doesn't get any harder. But I'd like to think she's sitting on a cloud, with Larry, and laughing. I can still see that smile. What a privilege to have known and worked with her. All I can say is "Thanks, Marcie."
I'll be there on Saturday. I will look forward to meeting you. I've seen your pictures, albeit when you were all younger. She was so very proud of you and loved you with all of her great, big heart.

Toni and David,
I am so sorry about Marcie's passing and pray that y'all will turn to God for peace and comfort. There's a verse in the Bible that says "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)
Hope y'all can feel this peace.
Love you.
Aunt Sylvia

I am truly saddened by the passing of Marcie, I have fond memories of her especially in my childhood with her and treating me like a daughter, she would make her famous lasagna and even would make a little portion for me with no mushrooms ,

I am very sorry for your loss. The Bible offers hope for those who have lost loved ones in death. "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4) Soon death will be a thing of the past, and the pain that it causes us now, will be removed. Those who have fallen asleep in death will be brought back to life and have the prospect of living forever in paradise on earth. We can believe the promise that death will be no more because it is "impossible for God to lie." (Hebrews 6:18) May this hope comfort your hearts during this difficult time.
