Just found obituary for Elizabeth..We want to express my deepest sympathies for her families loss. We didn't know her very long but knew right away she was a special lady who was so kind and caring. She had a sweet smile and she
loved to talk to Sam about Kansas as he was also from Kansas and had moved to Illinois. She always ate at the table with my mom at Park Pointe and was always talking to her and making her feel welcome at the table. My mom passed in July 2017 so we didn't get to see Elizabeth after that but we know she is in a far better place and maybe playing cards with my mom since they loved it so much. They didn't get that opportunity at Park Pointe but maybe now they are. We want to send prayers for peace and joy to all the family.

Elizabeth was such a wonderful person. We have so many found memories of playing cards with her and my Grandma Claire. We always had a special breakfast at the local pancake house when my family came to Illinois to visit. She will be missed but always remembered very fondly. Our sincerest sympathy to Elizabeth's family.

Dear Verna and family. I want to extend my deepest condolences on the passing of your dear sweet Mother. My Mom was Alma Kolodziej, one of your Mom's dearest friends. Elizabeth, Claire and my Mom were the three musketeers for sure. And what a delight they were when then all got together to play cards! I had to have my Mom move in with me in 2007 as she was unable to care for herself. She passed away on Valentines day of 09. With Mom living with me, of course I had the joy of having "the Girls" over for lunch and a day of card playing numerous times. I always made sure I had enough of left overs to send home with your Mom and Claire for supper. Many times they asked me to join in their canasta playing and I turned them down each and every time. I never wanted them to waste a minute on trying to teach me how to play and they were so much fun to watch and listen to. I think I was about 8 years old when I very first met your Mom and Claire both, as they all worked together at Silver Cross in the nursery for many, many years. Mom always took me to the hospital Christmas parties at White Fence Farm out on Rt.53 and that's how I first met your Mom and Claire. Lord, I could go on and on about my times spent with these dear ladies that truly enjoyed life to the fullest!
I know one thing for sure, the cards are being dealt up and words are flying back and forth up in heaven! The little buddies are all gone now, but I am happy to know they are all well and enjoying life in Heaven as God has meant it to be. May the beautiful memories your Mom has left you bring you happiness and feelings of love until the time you will all meet her again. God bless you all! Special prayers and thoughts are being sent your way.
