Marilyn Ruettiger
(nee Brnca)

On Friday, October 13, 2017 Marilyn Ruettiger passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
She was born February 16, 1944 in Joliet IL to Stephen and Bernice (nee Urbancic) Brnca.

Marilyn retired from Dr. Moore’s office as a medical transcriptionist in 2005.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and rosary service. Quilting and sewing is what she enjoyed but the most cherished gift was the time she spent with her loving husband, children, and precious grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Lawrence O. Ruettiger; her five children, Christine (James) Howley, Susan (Ronald) Bebar, Mark (Jacqueline) Ruettiger, Allen Ruettiger, and Ryan Ruettiger.  She was the proud grandmother of six; Nathan, Tess, A.J., Maeve, Jack and Vaughn, along with her devoted canine companion, Filipina.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Stephen and Joseph Brnca; and grandson, Luke Howley.

Funeral service for Marilyn Ruettiger will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 West Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris, IL to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to The Will County Humane Society, 24109 Seil Rd., Shorewood, IL. 60404 would be appreciated.
