In searching for old friends from childhood, I came across Dirk’s obituary. I remember spending many hours at his and Grace’s home with Dara (my gal pal extraordinaire in 1981-1982). Their home was a warm and welcoming space, their mutual love was always evident, and I always pictured my future adult life encompassing the warmth and gratitude that their home projected. Almost 40 years later, my heart goes out to the Connor family for their loss.
