The news of Maria’s passing shocked me as I had talked to her not that long ago. I will remember the good times we had hanging out or going to Cubs games. She was a good nurse who was always willing to help out. I am sorry for your loss.
I will always remember Maria with a smile. She could charm the non-compliant pts into following drs. orders with her mega watt smile. A fabulous nurse and fiercely loyal to her son, who unfortuneately I never got to meet. Extremely proud of her Greek heritage. Always wore a pen behind the ear, forgetting it was there, and borrowing a pen from everyone. She would have loved computer charting,---no need for pens. May she finally have peace and her family rest knowing she is brightening up the sky with her luminescent smile. She will be sorely missed from our gabfest luncheons.
