Obituary of Maria Ascaridis Flatt

Maria Flatt, (nee Ascaridis), age 54, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, October 11, 2018.

Born June 19, 1964 in Chicago, she was the daughter of James and Demetra (nee Alexakos) Ascaredis.

Maria received her degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse in several hospitals.

Surviving are her parents of Joliet; one son, Alex Flatt; one brother, Michael (Beverly) Ascaridis; two sisters, Theresa Ascaridis and Georgia (Doug) Kanive; and one niece, Gina.

Funeral services for Maria Flatt will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 102 N. Broadway Street, Joliet.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials in her name to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.  Fred C.
