Our deep condolences to the family of Cliff! He was my partner at the Bomb and Arson Section of the Chicago Police Department! He was a great detective and had a dry sense of humor! He was honest, dependable, and could not wait to help a fellow policeman out! In short he will always be remembered as the partner everyone hopes for! He will be missed! Hans Heitmann

This is sad news indeed. I was lucky enough to have worked with Cliff at the Bomb and Arson Unit in the 90's. We rode to work together and many times Cliff would team up with Barry Hawkins and myself to make an arrest. Cliff joined Barry and myself to travel to Acapulco to do some deep sea fishing. What a great few days we had. The following year we returned and brought our wives with us. That was an even better trip. I'll miss my old friend as well as my other old friend Barry. (RIP) Rest in Peace Cliff... Jim & Deb
