Obituary of Clifford J. Pilgrim
Age 83, of Plainfield, IL and formerly Chicago, IL passed away Sunday evening September 20, 2020 at
Hinsdale Hospital. He was born December 19, 1936 to the late Bueltia (nee Fulks) and George Pilgrim in Chicago, IL where he was raised and educated. Cliff received a bachelor degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was a United States Army Veteran.
He is the beloved husband of Patricia (nee Snell) Pilgrim; loving father of Steven (Maureen) Pilgrim, Mark (Rochelle) Pilgrim and Christopher (Joanne) Pilgrim; proud grandfather of Caitlin, Sarah, Trevor; Saige; Hailey and Owen; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Barbara Holly and one brother, George Pilgrim.
Clifford retired as a Detective from the Chicago Police Department after nearly 30 years of service.
Visitation for Mr. Pilgrim will be held Thursday September 24, 2020 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 8 p.m. Interment with honors will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials in his name can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
