To the Family and Friends,
We are co-workers of Brittany Doty and we wanted to offer condolences to all those impacted by his passing. In reading the obituary, it sounds like Mr. Steffensmeier lived quite a life and I am sure had many amazing experiences. I am sure he will be missed by a large number of people.
Thoughts and Prayers,

My sympathies to Pat and all of Mark's family.
Mark was my first cousin and next door neighbor growing up in Iowa. Lots of fond memories of the many times & events we shared as youngsters, including on occasion doing things we perhaps shouldn't of. I saw Mark for the last time a few years back at a Steffensmeier reunion held at the Pilot Grove Savings Bank in St. Paul, Iowa. We chatted a long time--for my part, as in years gone by, enjoying Mark's sharp intellect and quick wit. What I most remember, though, was his pride and loyalty for his daughters, Pat, and extended family. Mark was an all-around good guy. I will miss the possibility of our paths crossing again, but will never forgot him.
