Heaven gained another angel! Peace and prayers to the entire Wilhelmi family. Mrs. Wilhelmi‘s perpetual smile and making the person she was talking with feel like they were the most important person in the world are two of the things that I will most remember about this amazing lady.

I lived next door to Joe at the Village and then to Mary Beth when she moved in. We both loved our gardens, the beautiful flowers and exchanged helpful hints and praises for our flower beds. Hers were always more beautiful than mine! In September of 2020 I moved to Pembroke Township and Mary Beth was so supportive of my ministry there in this poor area of the Diocese. She not only supported me financially, but convinced some family members and her friends to do the same.
Thank you, Mary Beth, for the honor of knowing you and calling you my friend. Love and prayers, Sr. Nancy Please pray for us!

I have so many fond childhood (and adult) memories of Mary Beth. As a child, her warm and friendly heart ALWAYS made you feel welcome, even in an active, busy house with six kids. She has always been there for our family in good times and bad and helped my mom get through some very tough times (cancer, loss of her son, husband, etc).....Thank you Mary Beth for being such a pure example of God’s love and compassion and for being one of the greatest friends my mom and our family could ever ask for. Xoxoxo

Mary Beth was an inspiration to me. She comforted me after the death of my father. I knew her from being a Hospice volunteer and also from working with her wonderful son, AJ. Mary Beth was always there to help anyone in need. I know that Mary Beth did an amazing job making sure that family comes first. My thoughts and prayers are with her family now and I am blessed to have known her. God needed a Rose for his garden and he chose Mary Beth. She certainly was a caring and loving woman.

I first met Mary Beth on one Super Bowl Sunday in the early 70's at St. Paul the Apostle school basement. Fr. Joe Burns had invited the women of the parish to a planning meeting for a new service ministry he wanted to begin...the Council of Catholic Women (CCW). Being new to Joliet as well as a new parishioner I attended. Mary Beth was asked to chair a committee and because of her graciousness and warmth I signed up for her group. We met at the house on West Acres and again she left an impression on me. As time passed we met and worked together...for several years Mary Beth taught REP...and I also had the pleasure of knowing and working with some of her children and even her grandchildren. Every time I saw Mary Beth she had a smile and a charm that I won't soon forget.
God bless the Wilhelmina family. You have another angel in your corner...
