Tellis was a fine gentleman. Very caring to his parents, wife, kids, church and community. The few times I encountered him, he always greeted with a smile and had a good word. Sleep on brother. Metro will miss you.

I will remember our days growing up at Metropolitan Church. Even as we got older still being able to sit together at church and eating breakfast together while you talked about your parents and I talked about mine. Memories. You will truly be missed. RIP (Little Brother).

Pam,
Our hearts are heavy right now. But please know that you and the girls are in our prayers. Rest assured if you need anything just let us know. We all loved Tellis as if he was a brother not a cousin. I thank God for allowing him to be in our lives. Please know that you can always call on us. Although we loved Tellis, God loved him more and now he is rejoicing in the arms of Uncle Burns and Aunt Beautine. Weeping may come now but joy will cometh in the morning. Sending a big virtual hug for You, Raven and Rissa. Love ya

Pam and the girls,
My deepest condolences at this difficult time. Just know that whenever I think of your husband/dad, a huge smile comes to my face. I’m so grateful to have known both of you for so long. He was a man of Upstanding character, and the most charismatic person I’ve ever known. When you saw Tellis and talked to him, you never walked away without a smile and laughter. That I will always keep a memory of. I’m so thankful that I knew him. May he rest in eternal peace. Until we all reunite again. God bless you and your family.

I remember Tellis growing up at Metropolitan Baptist Church on Chicago's Westside. He was always personable and had a million dollar smile! I will miss his impromptu visits to our church and his loving spirit.

Tellis always brought such a feeling of happiness no matter what the circumstances. So many softball games so much fun and such a genuine person. He's probably telling jokes to the angels as we know he would. He's a treasure to never be forgotten. Heartfelt condolences to Pam, Raven, and Marissa.
With heartfelt condolences,
Annette Hughes
