To the MacNichol and Anderson families: We will all miss her and the world has gotten a little darker now that the joy and light she brought with her is now in heaven. But Jeannette is now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and may that assurance bring you some comfort at this difficult time. We look towards that day when we can all be reunited in heaven as God's family. Our prayers of peace go out to you all. - Paul & Pam

When I found out about Aunt Jeannette's diagnosis, I was shocked and angry. How could life be so cruel to someone so kind and thoughtful? Someone who seemingly does all the right things and puts others ahead of herself.
When I texted her, I let her know that I was praying for her and that I was so proud to call her my aunt; I shared my frustrations with her in that I didn't understand why life was so cruel.
Unexpectedly, she taught me an important life lesson in her response that I will always cherish and hope to live by as she proudly did.
"Thank you so much Alec. But life is not cruel at all. The Lord has given me all I need to get through this ... So it would only seem cruel if He has not given me those gifts. I am off the paved highway for just a little while and taking the dirt road ... But none the less I will get where I am going".
It reminded me of the note which Grandpa Bernie carried around in his wallet. "We strive all our lives for something different and better, never realizing that what we have is already the best there is".
Aunt Jeannette certainly knew that.
