Channeling strength to my kids, grandkids, and the Velez family as the universe takes back One of the Good ones. “Pochi” (Tito’s aunt & the kids’ great-aunt) will be missed by many.
I’ll always regret growing apart from this wonderful woman, and below are the reasons why:
she literally offered to adopt me when I was between homes as a teenager (just before I got married… at 15!) we were pretty darn close too.
6 Years Later:
After 2 horrible experiences with abusive/neglectful local babysitters, she offered us a childcare slot in her home day care. Needless to say, the 2 hour commute to/from home from work for me was worth it.
My monkey had one of the most loving, caring, yet stern (which my monkey, Melody TOTALLY needed) childcare providers/aunt anyone could ever hope for.
After our separation/divorce… I knew her door was ALWAYS open to me and my girls.
Because of her, my fur-baby, Lady became part of our family. (She didn’t allow Neco to keep it, so he had no choice but to give her to me. SCORE!
BEST DOG EVER!!!
I’m glad she is free of the pain that the wear and tear of “life” puts on people.
I wish I had continued to visit her when my schedule allowed. May she Rest In Peace.
With love,
Maria
