I met Rich in the early 90's through the EDM industry. I had a chance to do business
with him on many occasions. All of us who knew Rich understood that he was one
of the nicest guys you would ever meet. Rich was a consummate professional. He
knew more about EDM drilling than anyone in the industry. Beyond business, Rich
would always update me on his family and how his young daughters were doing.
He was an open book. If you knew Rich, you knew about what was happening in his
life. Rich was jovial, funny, and without pretense. He will be sorely missed.
My deepest condolences to Rich's family and friends.

I knew Rich for a little over forty years; we ran together in the early 1980s with a pack of “the usual suspects.” Great times that I will always remember fondly. Although life caused us to go in and out of touch over the years, I always knew that if I ran into Rich, I’d be greeted with a big smile, a hearty handshake and more often than not, several dumb jokes. Rich was one of the most outgoing, selfless, genuinely friendly people I ever met. It seemed like success for Rich was merely a way to be more involved and more generous with the people he knew; I think it truly made him happy. He was a wealth of knowledge when it came to his profession, and I always admired him for his willingness to share it, devoid of ego, with any one of us who could benefit from it. He was one of those rare “go-to guys” that few of us are fortunate enough to know. Most of all, though, he was the kind of guy you wanted around when you needed a friend.
Rest in peace, Rich- you’ll be missed. My condolences to family and friends.

Rich was such a caring and generous soul. He was a huge part of an annual charity golf outing that my family runs to support local charities. I don't think he missed any of them. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.

I worked for Rich in the summer of 1996 at Midwest EDM Specialties. He was a thoughtful and kind man. I’m sorry for your loss.

Richard was my best friend, I believe a lot of his friends thought of him the same. We all had a
“best friend” and that is Rich, our best friend
