We served at the same time as a Navy Chaplain. My deepest condolences go to the family and friends who will miss his touch upon this earth, but will remember the footprints he left with those he served.

The first time I met Wes, he invited me out to lunch. As we sat there sharing stories about ministry and our calls, he asked me about my family and if I could show him a picture. As I did, he took the phone from me and turned it around, and as he pointed to them he told me, "This is your most important ministry." It changed my outlook on parenting and how I served my wife as a spouse. Thank you Brother for that challenging encouragement and deep wisdom. Blessings to the Modder Family during this time of loss. May God give you healing and hope.

My family first met Wes in 1995 when we started attending Redeeming Love Church, & also his brother Dave. We became friends while he attended North Central Bible College & Bethel Seminary. I remember his jovial smile & personality. He had such a warmth & good character. I loved your posts Wes, & you will be sorely missed.

My respect for Wes Modder knows no bounds.. He was a spiritual brother to me.
My favorite memory was, during our efforts together in ministry at Kaneohe Bay Naval Station in Hawaii this tall strappng fearless military chaplain passed out while getting a flu shot... it was a forever joke.
Love and blessings to Beth and the family on this Coronation Day for my most honorable friend...Wes!!!

Beth and family. Wes was indeed larger than life. His presence was felt in any room or crowd of which he was a part. He had an enthusiasm for life and a love for Jesus. I would often hear him talk about preaching and how that was his greatest honor to preach Jesus. He was a man of conviction which he demonstrated when everything was threatened. He fought a fight for all of us. I know he was proud of his kids by his posts on Facebook. I had not seen them in person for a while so it was fun to watch them grow up into the young adults Wes was so proud of. I respected Wes for being true to himself. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know he loved you. I am deeply saddened by his passing.
