Born July 11, 1965 in Joliet, she was a graduate of Joliet Central High School with the Class of 1983, and worked in logistics and management for Jewel-Osco, Mariano’s and Walgreens.
Suzanne was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister and aunt, and was an amazing parent to her two wonderful sons who she loved “to the moon and back.” She also loved her many nieces and nephews, and was the family photographer as they and her boys were growing up.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her talent at gardening and growing beautiful flowers, and her creativity with painting and decorating. She loved angels and was an angel in our presence.
Surviving are her sons, Joshua McDonnell of Shorewood, and Jordan McDonnell of Joliet; her mother, Mae (Williamson) McDonnell of Joliet; her brothers and sisters, Kathleen (David) Lubert of Alpharetta, GA, Terrence (Colleen) McDonnell of Greenfield, IN, Jacqueline (Michael) Hanks of Elwood, IL, Kevin (Chris) McDonnell of Palos Hills, IL, and Maureen (Brian) Carey of Joliet; her special friend, Bob Manfred; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded by her father, Patrick A. McDonnell; an infant brother, Timothy Patrick McDonnell; and a niece, Abbey McDonnell.
