I just found this site and It hurt to see no comments or condolences. I'm hoping there were private condolences sent to the family so they knew that others thought highly of Jerry and mourned his passing with them. I worked with Jerry when he was detailed to the Chicago Police Fusion Center and a couple of other times when he worked with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations on cases. He was a little older than me, but even now, 14 years later I can remember him talking about 3 things. His love of our country and his service to it, his police work, and his family. I remember one day he was talking about his kids learning to drive. I don't remember why it was so special to him, but he was smiling like I'd rarely seen. I was saddened to hear of his passing and I wish I could have attended his services to let his family know how much he spoke of them and that he meant a lot to others.
