Obituary of Richard M. Prosek

Age 64 of Shorewood, formerly of Lyons, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021.  Rich was born in Oak Park, IL, he resided in Lyons for over 50 years, living in Shorewood for the past four years.  He was formerly employed by Sears, Jewel Food Store, and Piser-Weinstein Funeral Home.  Rich loved playing Texas Hold ‘Em, enjoyed fishing, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mary “Mitty” (Sticha) Prosek of Shorewood; two children, Chuck (Michael) Beck of Lyons and Lauren Prosek of Schaumburg, IL; his brother, Steven Prosek of Joliet.

Preceded by his parents, Milton and June (Barrido) Prosek.

Visitation for Richard M. Prosek will be Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd.
