Aunt JoAyne was always exciting, fun and so smart and clever. As her niece, I looked up to her as an example of how to be "a lady" in every way. Aunt JoAyne was Martha Stewart before there was one! She made her own butter, raised outstanding Springer Spaniels, and sewed her own fabulous clothing including ball room gowns for her dancing. She was beautiful and kind and gracious, and her sense of humor was the best! I can still hear her glorious laughter and giggles. She made a life long impact on me growing up, and I will always cherish the memories of her.
