Obituary of Kodey J. Rupp
Age 15 of Plainfield, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Lurie’s Children’s Hospital. Kodey was born in Chicago on March 20, 2006, relocating to Plainfield in 2007. He was a sophomore at Plainfield Central High School. Kodey played hockey with the Southwest Ball Hockey Organization and he enjoyed fishing.
Surviving is his father, Donald Rupp of Plainfield; his brother, Schyler Rupp of Plainfield; many aunts and uncles also survive.
Kodey is preceded by his mother, Mary Ann (Kattner) Rupp (2020); maternal grandparents, Peter and Maryann Kattner; paternal grandparents, Francis and Joyce Rupp; two uncles, Peter Kattner Jr. and Billy Kattner; his aunt, Lynne Kattner.
Visitation for Kodey J. Rupp will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, 60431 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 10, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 Brookforest Avenue, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Gift of Hope would be appreciated.
