Andy, James, MC, and extended family- Susan was such an exceptional person. I loved her intelligence, her wit, her use of language, her commitment to social justice, and her sense of fun. She was a bright light in so many people's lives. I am so sorry for your loss. Sending love your way

So sorry to learn of Sue's passing. We were classmates and in the same major at Rosary College. I remember seeing her at one of the reunions and having to use a walker. It is a blessing that she was with her family as she moved on.

Susan and I were briefly office mates at the Illinois House. We got along well, which surprised many. My fondest memory of her was shortly before her departure from staff, when my wife and I joined (Prince) Andy and Susan at Norb Andy's and nearly got tossed out for singing (too loudly) "The Las Farewell" by Roger Whitaker.
It wasn't long after that, that she really did "sail for Old England".
It was the last time we saw each other, but the memory is refreshed often.
Everyone who knew her will miss her.

There are too many memories to choose a favorite. Susan’s intelligence, wit and overall outlook on life made her one of the bright spots in my world. We had some great adventures over the years … I will miss her deeply.

Susan and I met through our daughters when they were in 3rd or 4th grade. We shared many family dinners, outings, girl scout meetings, campouts and Science Fair with Andy, book club, lunches, and a Galveston beach weekend among others. She was lots fun, game for just about anything, a fantastic cook, had a wonderful laugh and sense of humor. I never heard her complain. She was a delight to know. My love to Andy, MC and James.
