Obituary of Lula M. Heinz
Lula M. Heinz, age 88, of Joliet, IL passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Story Point of Romeoville.
Born on December 7, 1933 in Creal Springs, IL, the daughter of Esta and Carl Choate.
She is survived by her three children, James Donald Jr. (Janice), Heinz, Ken Heinz (Bob Freeman), and Sandy (Mike) Heraty; her grandchildren, Ken (Amy) Heinz, Jessie (Rob) Wunder, Ryan (Erin) Heraty, Erin Heraty (Zachary Karlinski), Maggie Heraty (Jeremy Green), Ben Newell and Zack Newell; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Kale and Cora Heinz; Michael Patrick and Reagan Taylor Heraty; Nova Marie and Robert James Wunder. Several nieces and nephews also survive
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, James Donald Heinz (March 28, 2016); siblings, Catherine Beasley, Jim, Clarence and Bob Choate.
Visitation for Lula Heinz will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet, IL from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lula’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
