Ron & Mary have been our good friends & neighbors since 1999. Our lives were a lot alike - married about the same time frame, one older boy and one younger girl. We had a lot of fun and laughs going to each other’s parties. If we needed anything or if he needed anything we were always there for one another. He would go out of his way no matter the circumstances. Looking out our kitchen window will never be the same. He will be truly missed. There is so much more we can say; there are so many memories there are not enough words.

There are so many memories, but I think I can recap them with with an over-riding theme. Ron was our next door neighbor who took on all of our challenges as though they were his personal issues, such as helping put up a tent for a party we were going to have, or helping to fix a tractor or cart that wasn’t quite running right, or collaborating on how best to kill weeds or invading insects around the yard and much much more - yet all of this was done without ever asking, he’d just show up and start helping. He had every tool know to man so he was always able to backup his insightful advise with the right tool to get the job done no matter how specialized.
He was dedicated in work. He carried his work phone on his person at all times answering no matter how inconvenient. I could tell, he was the answer man they counted on.
He loved his family and missed his wife Mary sorely as he would sometimes reflect on the things they were planning to do, someday…well Ron, I’m comforted by the fact that you two are once again together.
He loved his children and grandchildren, he was always patient, mature in his thinking and helpful to his children whenever the need arose and had a twinkle in his eye when he smiled. He never complained regardless of any health challenge, he just kept marching on.
Ron, I consider you a dear friend. I will miss you every day, but look forward with the hope that sustains - that we’ll meet again when I make my final journey home that you have preceded me in. It is then that we’ll kick back as “gentlemen farmers” as we would often dream about, where others would build the collectible cars under our watchful eyes that we’d then show together. God bless my friend. Rest In Peace.
