I never met George personally. However, I heard a lot about what a kind person he was from my sister Sally who lived next to him in Shorewood. When he heard from her that I was sick, he gave some flowers to her to bring to me! That was the fist time in my 86 years that a stranger sent me flowers. What a gracious act from a kind man. I wish that I had known him. My sympathy to his family.
