Tim - I’m so sorry for your loss. It was too rare that I crossed paths with Mrs Broderick, but every time was such a pleasure! Her stories, her smile, just made my day. A true Lady that the world is a lesser place without.
My condolences to your entire family.

Dear Broderick and Fitzgerald Families: I pray you find peace in knowing you did everything humanly possible to give Kate every comfort, happiness and dignity until she breathed her last breath.
Timmy, your devotion and self sacrifice carried the day. You found Kate’s Angel in Fe. You prayed and handled so much in making the day to day work despite the demands of putting your own life second. Blessedly you had the selfless Anna to quietly love and support you, throughout.
Danny, we know that even from a far you make things happen in so many ways for your family, friends and the Joliet and Jacksonville communities. You are behind the scenes advising, steering, medical and financial needs of your beloved family. Your selfless nature and the fact and you radiate calm competence provides great comfort.
Terry, family meant so much to Kate and Joe. I’m sure having your family near was a decades long joy.
Kate was always optimistic despite many sadnesses she had to face. She put her best face and foot forward and placed God above all, family and friends second. She lived a faith filled and grateful life. She showed up beautiful and with warmth and cheer. Always a lady of grace and charm she was an example to everyone she met.
May you find comfort in knowing that a life well lived goes on forever. I will miss her as I miss Jack Fitz, Joe and Mary Margaret.
Love and prayers. Stephanie Reeves

My condolences to the family.
I knew "Katie" through her sister Mary Lou who was a good friend of my mother, Lucille Larkin Vertin.
My sister-in-law Annette Vertin worked at Fitzgerald's so I renewed acquaintances with Katie in the last 30 years. She was always very kind whenever I saw her.

We have so many wonderful memories of Kate and Joe. It's hard to put down just one. We loved visiting her and Joe in Florida and when they came to New Mexico.
Kate was full of women. Vigor and we always had something to laugh about and celebrate. Her Irish heritage was her pride and she lived it well.
We will miss you Kate, but we are thankful that we knew you.
Love, Marlene and Mel

What a wonderful gal, and what a wonderful life! Always made me feel at home the moment I walk through her front door! Always enjoyed her conversation, quick wit, and stories of the past! Which often included my dad and her brother Jack! So sorry for your loss, sincerely Jeff Clark

Want to offer my condolences to the family. She was an important part of the children's lives growing up in that neighborhood and part of my best memories of life as it was back then.

My sincere sympathy to the Broderick family. I had the pleasure of making Kate’s acquaintance back in the late 60’s. Through the years I would run into her every once in awhile and she always greeted me with a smile and generous conversation. She will most certainly be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known her. May she rest in peace.
