I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. He was a wonderful part of New Century Bank. So many memories, so many funny incidents. He and I were frequently the last to leave the 1st floor. He kept us feeling safe. RIP.

I had the privilege of working with Greg in Division 6. Many a time I was puzzled by his Columbo-like, confused approach to any given situation. But, he was competent in that he knew what was supposed to be done and, capable in that he knew and did what was needed. Greg, also known as “Little Sor”, and his brother James, “Big Sor”, were jovial and humorous officers in normal situations, levelheaded and clear thinking as critical incidents developed but, left no doubt that if a peaceful resolution was untenable, the skills needed to oppose violence were just below the surface of their calm demeanor. I am sorry he has left us so soon and, I offer my condolences to his family and friends.

Sorry to hear! I worked with Greg in Div6 and receiving. He was quite a character, especially how he made his point with good humor during any given conversation. I stood beside him during many dangerous situations in the jail along with our fellow officers as well. He will be missed!

Sorry to hear this. He was a good shipmate to have. Had some troubles getting used to Navy life, but we all did. I was on the Pete with him until I left in 91 when the ship went to Mississippi.
Just know that he is at peace and in no more pain.
