Marilyn or should I say madam mayor as you always knew somebody wherever and whenever we hung out in public in Joliet! You would have won in a landslide if you ever had run! Life puts only so many special friends in our lives and you were that during my years at jchs
Despite your being a generation ahead of me age
wise, we always were able to share laughs and heartaches together.
You did so many little things for others to make their lives more complete- just a couple I recall were your organizing our conference cross country meet and singing the national anthem at the event and driving up with me to eagle river Wisconsin to visit my grandma and aunt. You were so good at sharing conversation that we spent that whole car ride just silently enjoying the ride up - not feeling forced to fill the void with idle chit chat -
I thought of you often after I left when the “merger” of the two schools sent us ion different paths - only wish I lived closer so I could have checked in with you when I needed your infectious smile and uplifting words of encouragement .
Your family and friends and Joliet community are all blessed with having had you in their lives.
Take care my dear friend and enjoy God’s good graces that you richly deserve

Mrs. McGuire was always so sweet to us and our boys when we moved to the neighborhood 25 years ago.
Connor and JP always making her and Muffy laugh.
Rest in peace Mrs. McGuire and I am sure Arlene Ulrich will be there to greet you.
Two angels together.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to all of the McGuire's with the passing of Marilyn. Your Mom always made me feel like a part of the family, and would always welcome me to your home and dinner table. 1210 Oneida felt like my second home. I cherish the decades of childhood memories, which have so shaped my heart and life. So grateful!
Marilyn was an inspiration and a force of nature. Her accomplished, long life was well lived. Her proudest accomplishment was her family above all else. May she now enjoy her eternal reward, united again with your wonderful Dad, and be at peace. How blessed you all are to have the family your parents shaped you all to be. Thanks for sharing the journey! Forever in my heart.
Deepest sympathy,
Vicki Lennon CorbisieroI
