Obituary of Anne Marie Krueger
Anne Marie Krueger, better known as Annie, passed away at the age of 68, at her home in Joliet, on Monday, January 20, 2025. Annie was born on December 7, 1956, the daughter of the late Frank J. Siemzuch and Judith A. Gallas. She was born and raised in Chicago and was a proud lifelong Chicago Cubs and Miami Dolphins fan. She spent a good part of her time growing up in the King’s Daughters home in Illinois where she met some lifelong friends. She then lived all over Chicago and the suburbs, including some stints in Florida with her daughter and grandchildren. Annie spent the rest of her days with her lifelong partner, Al and her son, Matthew.
Annie’s favorite job was at the bowling alley and Kraft Foods. She loved taking her kids to the family day events and bringing home all the goodies! She loved bowling in her earlier days and the Miami Bowling Arena was her favorite place to go. Sports and crime shows, especially Law & Order, were her daily passions coupled with cigarettes and coffee. Her beloved dog of 18 years, “Pebbles”, was her best companion and was always by her side. She loved to laugh and crack jokes. Relaxing with Al in the evenings listening to music and throwing a few back became a nightly tradition. She also had one of the biggest blessings as a friend that a person could ask for, and that is Rosie. We will forever be grateful for everything that she has done for her. Annie also cherished her caretaker, Maria wholeheartedly and so did we. She absolutely adored her two grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. Kaylie was her best friend to whom she spoke with several times a day. They would sit and gossip about everything and anything, they were two peas in a pod. Malia, who she called “evil” in the most loving way, to which Malia would respond “old hag” in the same loving way, got to be the favorite in the last 2 months (ha ha Kaylie). They had such a special bond in their own different way. Annie was loved by many and will forever be missed; however, she will never be forgotten and will live in our hearts forever.
Annie is survived by her two children, Amanda Perez and Matthew Krueger; two granddaughters, Malia and Kaylie Perez; one brother, Stephan Siemzuch; the father of her children and her lifelong partner, Alvin Krueger; and her faithful canine companion, “Pebbles”.
She is preceded by her parents, Judith and Francis Siemzuch; and her grandparents, Mitchell and Maryann Gallas.
